I will never forget my first steps out of the airport in Ho Chi Minh City. It felt like all of my senses woke up to a new world and even after many years, these memories seem so clear and vivid to me. I would then stay for six weeks and shoot about 12 rolls of film learning more about the people who seemed so present and welcoming every time our eyes met.
